E. B. Nace Was born October 2, 1921 in Paducah, KY to James William Nace and Emma Sims. He died Friday, August 23, 2013 at Clearview Nursing Center, Sikeston, MO at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 21 days. He was united in marriage to Virginia H. Moyers on December 22, 1951 in Advance, MO. She preceded him in death on December 15, 2010 after 59 years of marriage. Also preceding him in death, were his parents, Emma Sims & James William Nace, an infant child in 1968, six sisters and six brothers all of the Paducah, KY area. Mr. Nace was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Portageville. He was in the United States Army, serving in England, France, and Germany during WWII. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture from Murray State University in 1942 and a Master's Degree in Agriculture from the University of Missouri, Columbia in1962. He taught vocational agriculture in Advance, Missouri from 1950 to 1956, from 1956 to his retirement in 1983 he served as an Extension County Agent in New Madrid, MO and as an Agricultural Engineering Specialist at the Delta Research Center in Portageville, MO. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and wood-working and was an avid gardener. He leaves to cherish his memories his sons and daughters - in - law, William C. "Bill" & Lee Ann Nace of Sikeston, MO, Vaughn Mark & Karen Nace of Lake Jackson, Texas. Three grandchildren: Edward Nace and spouse (Jaclyn) Nace of Bryan, Texas, Vickie Rugg and spouse Nathan of Austin, Texas and Caroline Pharris and spouse Daniel of Sikeston, MO. 5 great-grandchildren, Samuel, Kara, and Noah Nace of Bryan, Texas, Autumn and Jack Rugg of Austin, Texas and a host of many other relatives and friends.
