Doyle Rydell Minnis Was born July 1, 1962 in Portageville, MO to Georgia Mae Steele Minnis and Thomas Minnis Sr. He died Monday Jan. 21, 2008 in Portland Oregon at the age of 45 years, 6 months and 20 days. He was a graduated of the Portageville High School and had served in the US Army in 1980 before moving to Oregon. Doyle loved life, adventure and a challenge. He was fun, a joker, creative and aggravating all at the same time. He was a born again believer in Jesus Christ and attended My Father's House Ministry in Portland, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas & Georgia Mae Steele Minnis and one brother, Movina Minnis. He leaves to cherish his memories his brothers; Mr & Mrs. Harvey Collier, Champaign IL Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Minnis Jr., Hillsboro OR, Mr. Ronnie Minnis, Nashville, TN, Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Minnis, Davenport, IA. His Sisters: Deloris Holloman, Debra Norris, Carla Minnis & Barbara Minnis, Portageville, MO, Claudette Gipson, Orlando, FL, Connie & Eddie Long, Marston, MO, Maxcine Battle, Columbus, Ohio & Valerie & John Drake, Gallatin, TN, a host of nieces, nephews & cousins and a special friend, Tracy Huivar, other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all. Services were conducted 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Temple of God's Glory Church with Rev. Kirk Dunavant officiating. Interment followed in Portageville Cemetery with DeLisle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
