Dorothy Louise (Jones) Taylor

Was born on June 07, 1933 in Hayward, MO. to the late Katie Mae (Tharpe) Jones & William Riley Jones. She passed away  April 06, 2025 at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, MO, at the age of 91 years, 9 months and 30 days.

She was united in marriage on July 26, 1952 to Allen Owen (Buddy) Taylor, being married for 39 years she always felt very blessed.  She was a faithful woman being a longtime member of Boekerton Baptist Church and Tally Baptist Church. She worked as a cook at Ross School for many years.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Katie Mae (Tharpe) Jones and William Riley Jones, also preceding her was her husband, Allen Owen (Buddy) Taylor, her sisters, Ellemeda Slavings, Cora Ellen Gremard, Wilma Joy White.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Dr. Calvin Bryant of Benton, Ky, one son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Ricky and (Rosemarie) Taylor of Portageville, MO, 2 brothers, Jessie Jones of Fulton, MO & Jimmy (Peggy) Jones of Creve Coeur, MO, 2 sisters, Emily Morefield of St. Ann, MO & Brenda Combest of Bonne Terre, MO, 3-grandchildren,Tracy (David) Whitaker of Cadiz, KY, Dr. Brian Taylor of Houston, Tx, Aaron (Lori) Taylor of Bushnell, FL, 7 great-grandchildren, Brooke (Mark) Mason of Hopkinsville, KY, Samantha Whitaker of Cadiz, KY, Levi Whitaker of Cadiz, KY,  Riley, Killian, Sadie & Rowan Taylor of Bushnell, FL, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, Ellie Rose Mason & Matilda Mason of Hopkinsville, KY and a host of many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
