In Loving Memory of Doris Ann Williams

Doris Ann Williams, 69, of Benton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Born on September 30, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, Doris was the beloved daughter of the late Ollie Beatrice Smith and Carl Sims. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jimmy Williams; her sisters, Alice Morgan and Patsy Payne; and her brothers, Ricky Sims and Dean Sims.
Doris had a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. She found happiness in dancing, tending to her flowers, and searching for treasures at yard sales. Her warmth and laughter touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Jerry (Terry) Williams of Dyersburg, TN; David (Lindsay) Williams of Dyersburg, TN; Grant (Karissa) Williams of Sikeston, MO; Chad Prewett of Doniphan, MO; Steven Prewett of Doniphan, MO; and Tammy (Shawn) Hernandez of Portageville, MO. Doris was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and she leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 12:00 noon at DeLisle Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home, with interment at Portageville Cemetery.
