Doris Tootsie Pikey Was born October 25, 1916 in Portageville, Mo to Hortense Heflen Meatte and Elmer Meatte. She died Saturday December 11, 2010 at Portageville Heritage Gardens at the age of 94 years, 1 month and 17 days. She was united in marriage In marriage to Charles Pikey Jr on January 31, 1938 in Portageville he proceeded her in death on April 8, 1982, also preceding her in death, were her parents, Hortense Heflen Meatte & Elmer Meatte; one brother Louis Dayne Meatte , her daughter-in-law, Sheila Pikey & one great grandchild, Sydney Beth Pikey. She was a Active Member of The Portageville Methodist Church where she served as Superintendent of Sunday School & Bible School, Member of Portageville Garden Club, Member & Office holder of The Bess Truman Club for New Madrid County, Honorary member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and member of the Eastern Star, She leaves to cherish her memories One Son, Sam Pikey of Conran, MO Two Daughters and son-in-laws; Brenda (Howard) Tillman of Conran, MO and Deanne (Robert) Hicks of Conran, MO Seven Grand Children; Debbie (Troy) Long, Sam Tillman, Sam "Pap" Pikey, Brent (Renee) Pikey, John (Stacy) Pikey, Darrin Hicks, Mark Hicks. Ten Great Grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host many other relatives and friends.
