Donald W. McWhirter Was born January 26, 1935 in Arkansas to Ophalia Key and Robert McWhirter. He died September 8, 2007 at House Springs,, MO at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 13 days. He was united in marriage on Feb. 6, 1954 in Ripley, MS to Jerrie Jeffers. She survives of the home in House Springs, MO. Preceding him in death were his parents Robert & Ophalia Key McWhirter; 2 brothers: Billy & Bobby McWhirter and one sister, Mavis Miller. Mr. McWhirter was a self-employed truck driver. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Jerrie; one son, Jeffery McWhirter and one daughter, Georgette McWhirter all of House Springs, MO; one brother, Jimmy McWhirter of Malvern, AR; several members of the Jeffers & Miller families and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday September 12, 2007 at DeLisle Funeral Chapel with Rev. Clarence Hayes officiating. Pallbearers were: Shawn Jeffers, Richard Jeffers, Don Dial, Tony Miller, Kimberly McWhirter & Carolyn McWhirter Heitman. Interment followed in Portageville Cemetery with DeLisle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
