Don age 85 went to His Heavenly Home on Tuesday, March 21,2023 at St. Bernard's Medical Center In Jonesboro Arkansas. He was born on October 19, 1937 in Senath, Missouri to Raymond Toombs and Louise Wheeler Toombs.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and sister Anita Louise Toombs Moody.

Survivors include his son John David Toombs
(Angie) of Niceville Florida and daughter Laura Anne Thompson
(Steve) of Jonesboro, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and his brother Bill (Karen) Toombs of Germantown TN.

Don retired after 37 years with State Farm Insurance in Jonesboro . He was a 1955 graduate of Portageville High School and 1959 graduate of Arkansas State University.
He moved to Jonesboro in 1962. He was well known among his State Farm peers. His regional office was in Monroe LA, which included Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
His clients liked him very much because he took care of them. In those 37 years he was always a top producer in selling Life Insurance. He was a member of
"State Farm's Million Dollar Club." Every year he sold over a million dollar's worth of life insurance.
Don loved playing golf, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and of the Arkansas State University
Red Wolves.
