He was united in marriage Nov. 20, 1954 in New Madrid, MO to Melvine Brewer she survives of the home, Preceding him in death, were his parents, Mary Compton Jarnagin & Robert James Jarnagin; 3 brothers; Sammie, David & Bill Jarnagin, 1 sister; Becky Jarnigan. He was retired from Noranda Aluminum, member of Evergreen Baptist Church, member of the National Guard and the U.S. Navy. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Melvine Jarnagin of Litchfield, Illinois, his son, James Jarnagin of Carlinville, IL, daughters; Peggy Lewis of Litchfield, Illinois, Debra Rooker of Mira Loma, CA, sister, Minnie Lou Casey of Arkansas, brothers; Bob Jarnagin of Bathelow, IL & Jim Jarnagin of Portageville, MO, 6 grand children; 10 great-grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
