Franklin "Dewey" DeWayne Quick, age 69, of Portageville, Missouri, passed away on May 31, 2026, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Dewey was born on December 20, 1956, in Hayti, Missouri, to the late Dee Quick and Roselee Clemdine Quick. He lived a life centered on family and the simple joys he loved most.

On January 31, 1975, in Concord, Missouri, he married the love of his life, Sherry Hurley Quick. Together they shared many years of marriage, and she survives at their home.

Dewey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, but above all else, he treasured spending time with his family. He was of the Methodist faith and will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his devotion to his family, and the many memories he created with those he loved.  Dewey was preceded in death by his father, Dee Quick, and his mother, Roselee Clemdine Quick.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Sherry Quick of Portageville, Missouri; two daughters, Amy (Tracy) Russell of Gideon, Missouri, and Melissa (Chris) Forrester of Portageville, Missouri; one son, Benjamin Quick of Portageville, Missouri; three brothers, Steven Quick of Arnold, Missouri, Rodney Quick of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and John Quick of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; grandchildren, Taaron Quick-Russell  (Joy Morris), Bogan Forrester (Keileigh), Haden Russell (Valerie), and Jillian Forrester (Garrett); one great-grandchild, Charlie Grace Johnston and a host of other relatives and friends.

Dewey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
