Della Mae Decker

Della Mae Decker, born Della Mae Jimerson on February 8, 1930, in Caney, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2025, in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved daughter of John Thomas Jimerson and Eva Belle Jimerson.

Della Mae was married to Calbert Decker and was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Glover, and her husband, Mike Glover, of Portageville, Missouri. She was also the mother of Danny Michael Decker of New Madrid, Missouri, who is deceased.

Della Mae , otherwise known as Granny, was a loving grandmother to nine grandchildren: Robin Boldt, Melissa Johnson, Michelle Swims, Michael Decker Jr., JD Blackburn, Venice Decker, Tyrone Decker, Jeremiah Decker, and Angela Decker, and a cherished great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Granny loved many things that brought joy and happiness into her life. She delighted in shopping trips, especially enjoying visits to Cracker Barrel where she savored good food and warm company. Dancing was one of her favorite pastimes, allowing her to express her lively spirit. She had a deep appreciation for flowers and nature, often spending time camping and fishing, embracing the great outdoors. Granny also cherished being pampered at the hair and nail salon, where she enjoyed the relaxation and care that made her feel special. Throughout her life, she radiated positivity and warmth, always wearing a smile that brightened the day of everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her siblings L.C. Jimerson, E.J. Jimerson, Jewel Houston, and Ted Houston.

She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
