David Womack was born on February 2, 1946 in De Soto, MO to the late Claira Ellen Ryan & Frank Womack. He passed away on June 25, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by people who love him in Portageville, MO at the age of 77.

He was united in marriage to his loving wife of 58 years, Mary S. Womack, on February 6, 1965 in St. Louis, MO. For almost 35 years, David and Mary built a beautiful life together in Portageville, MO with their 3 children: David, Norman, and Sheila. After working for the City of Portageville for almost 17 years, he retired to enjoy spending time with his family while doing his favorite things: watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, playing spoons around a campfire, fishing in the Mississippi River on a hot day, singing Johnny Cash, and throwing horseshoes with his boys.

Preceding him in death were his parents; Claira Ellen Ryan & Frank Womack, his brothers; Frank Kelly, Carl Womack, Norman Womack, Johnny Womack, Danny Womack, Tommy Womack and his sister, Doris Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his memories - his wife, Mary S. Womack of Portageville, MO; his sons: David S. Womack (wife - Dawn) of Portageville, MO and Norman E. Womack (wife - Josette) of Portageville, MO; his daughter, Sheila Underwood (husband - Mark) of Portageville, MO; his brothers: Levi Womack of Bonne Terre, MO, Steve Womack of Poplar Bluff, MO; his sisters: Shirley Golden of Poplar Bluff, MO, Allene Obryan of Florida, Ruth Parks of Belgrade, MO, Judy Campbell of Doniphan, MO along with 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
