David Leon LaFerney

W as born November 3. 1948 in Campbell, MO to Frances McKenzie LaFerney & Cecil LaFerney. He passed away on Sunday September 20, 2020 at his home in Portageville at the age of 71 years, 10 months & 17 days.

P receding him in death was his parents; Frances McKenzie LaFerney and Cecil LaFerney, also preceding him was one son, Matthew LaFerney. On February 8, 1969 in Cape Girardeau he married Chris LaFerney, she survives of the home. David worked as Police dispatcher until his retirement. He enjoyed to hunt & fish and was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church. What he enjoyed most of all was his time with his family, especially his grandkids & great grandkids.

H e leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 51 years : Chris LaFerney of Portageville, MO, his daughter: Jennifer (Michael) Cook of Portageville, MO, three brothers: Gene (Kathy) LaFerney of Campbell MO, James (Barbara) LaFerney of Fulton, MO, Bill (Cathy) LaFerney of Nixa, MO, his sister: Cathy Ann Gulledge of Campbell, MO, two grandchildren: Austin (Alexa) Cook & Jacob Cook of Portageville, MO, his great grandchildren: Aiden & Alivia of Gideon, MO, Mayleigh Cook of Portageville, MO and a host of many other nieces, nephews and friends.
