David Michael Drerup, 67, of Portageville, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home on December 19, 2024. Born on July 10, 1957, to Richard (Trader Dick) and Betty Drerup, David graduated from Portageville High School in 1975. He was a lifelong member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church in Portageville.

David enjoyed a fulfilling career in construction, traveling to many amazing places across the country, ultimately returning to work at the family's furniture and appliance store in Portageville.

An avid outdoorsman, David found immense joy in fishing and hunting. He cherished spending time in nature, whether casting a line on a quiet lake or enjoying the thrill of the hunt. His passion for the outdoors was infectious, and he delighted in sharing his love of nature with family and friends. David's artistic talents knew no bounds, and he shared his gift with others in the form of painting, wood carving, and writing and playing music.

Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Betty Drerup, and his brother Dean (Martha) Drerup. David is survived by his brothers Dennis (Debbie), Dexter (Cindy), Duane (Lana), and his sister Donna (Jim), along with numerous aunts, nieces, and nephews who will deeply miss him.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
