Darren Robinson NEW MADRID Darren Rae Robinson, 42, died Oct. 12, 2009, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born Sept. 22, 1967, in Portageville, son of the late Robert L. and Elsie M. Henderson, he was a 1986 graduate of Portageville H i g h School and attended the University of Phoenix. A member of House of Deliverance Church of God in Christ in Portageville, he was also a member of the U.S. Navy from 1986 to 1990, receiving an honorable discharge. On Dec. 7, 1993, he married Phyllis Young, who survives of the home. Other survivors include: two sons and a daughter-inlaw, Darren Rae and Chiquilla Robinson Jr. stationed with the U.S. Air Force in San Antonio and Georgio Robinson of New Madrid; one daughter, Porsha Robinson of New Madrid; one brother, Robert Jordan of Cape Girardeau; and two sisters, Sheila Jordan of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Robin Young of Portageville. Visitation is from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday at Livingstone Church in Portageville with Elder Frank Wilderness officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Portageville City Cemetery.
