Courtney DuShun Wigfall
Courtney DuShun Wigfall of Springfield, MO was born in Hayti, MO on January 12, 1972 to Harvey & JoAnn Wigfall.

He accepted our Lord Jesus as his personal Savior, at an early age.

He graduated from Portageville High School in May 1990. After graduation, he entered into the United States Army. He served his enlisted time and was honorably discharged. Even though he is a veteran of the U.S Army, he is now serving in the Army of the Lord.

While on this earth for 48 years, 1 month & 5 days, Courtney taught us some valuable lessons.

(1) Never count yourself out. He was named the very 1st recipient of the "Coach of the Year" award out of a selection of 26 coaches for the youth basketball league at his church. He stated he wasn't paying attention, because he thought someone else's name would be called for this honor.
(2) Always dress to impress and keep your hair cut every other week with a fresh side-part, because you never knew where you would find your next date at.
(3) The word "stranger" was NOT in his vocabulary. He never met a stranger. To know him was to love him.
(4) The most important lesson he taught us all was, Family before everything. Nothing was more important to him than family unity. He always wanted us to pray for forgiveness amongst each other because life was not promised to no one. We could be here today and gone tomorrow.

Courtney leaves to cherish his memories: his parents; Harvey & JoAnn Wigfall of Portageville, MO; his children; Brittney Phillips of Cape Girardeau, MO, Courtney Wigfall Jr., Maci Wigfall both of Dallas, TX, Ashtin Hubbard of Malden MO, Kamdin Wallace of Kennett, MO, his siblings: Shantwania Wigfall of Brownsville, TN and Amanda Wigfall of Portageville, MO, his grandkids: A'Shon, Ace'lyn, A'laysiah, Adelina, La'auna, Myah and DeMadre; his aunts, uncles & a host of cousins; his best friends: Troy Frazier, Antonio Frazier, Albert Whitfield, Ron Riddle, Jimmy King, his special buddies: Amari Ehbrecht and Michael Tillmon, Jr., He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of friends too numerous to name, but just know that each and everyone of you carried a special place in his heart.
