Cora Ellen Gremard

W as born May 22, 1931 in Portagevillle, MO to Katie Mae Tharp & William R. Jones, she passed away on Saturday; Oct. 5,, 2019 at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital in Memphis,TN at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 29 days.

S he was united in marriage August 5, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to Ervin Gremard he preceded her in death April 14, 2015 P receding her in death was her parents, Katie Mae (Tharp) and William R. Jones, also preceding her in death was her sisters, Ellemeda Slavings and Wilma White.

S he earned her credential as an Optometric Assistant while living in CA, she worked successfully with her husband in several businesses and was a successful artist. A member of First United Methodist Church of Portageville for 17 years and truly enjoyed singing in the choir. She moved her membership to Munford First United Methodist Church in 2017.

S he leaves to cherish her memories her son and daughter-in-law, Lester (Rebecca) M. Gremard of Runnin Springs, CA, her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa (James) Stanton of Atoka, TN, brothers; Jimmy (Peggy) Jones of St. Louis, MO, Jessie Jones of Fulton, MO, sisters; Dorothy Taylor of Portageville, MO, Emily Morefield of Saint Ann, MO, Brenda Combest of St. Louis, MO, 4 Grandchildren, David Ulises Gremard, Ana (Tim) Gremard-Buckley, James Stanton, Christine (Brian) Navratil, 3 Great Grandchildren, Paige (Matt) Thompson, Bryce Navratil, Kori Navratil, 1 Great-Great Grandson, Jaxson Thompson, and a host of loved nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
