Connie Joyce Dacus was born in Portageville Missouri to James Olian and Blanche (Hall) Dacus on September 28, 1935, the 8th of nine children . Connie left this earthy temporary home  March 8, 2025 at 1:50 PM at her home for last five years with her daughter Tanya (Buddy) Brasher and Granddaughter Connie at age 89 years 5 months and 8 days.

Connie attended Portageville Schools and was active in community service, Like coaching the Pink Kittens soft ball summer program.  She attended First Church of God. She was baptized at Floodway Ditch at the age 15.  Connie went to work with her sister Euladean

When she was ten and worked at Shannon Theatre until she married the love of her life Junior High School sweetheart Paul Edwin Shankle, Nov 7, 1951. They were married 57 years when he passed away away July 23, 2008. She raised their four children as a stay at home Mom, got her LPN License and retired from River oaks Nursing home after 25 years.

Connie was preceded in death  by her parents, husband, son Paul Edwin (Eddie) Shankle II; Granddaughter MeLena Broglin; Grandson Douglas Paul Morlan, ; Great Grandsons Chad Fieweger and Justin Morlan and Great Great  Grandson Ayven Nelson. Sisters Euladean (Gene) Farmer and Charlotte Dacus; Brothers Cletus (Irma); Gene (Freddie) Doyle (Rosie) Sibert ( Emogene and Hazel); Lloyd "Hezzie" (Johnny) and Glenn Dacus. Brother-in-laws Kenneth (Pat), Johnny, and Carl"Moon" Delores Shankle.

She leaves to celebrate her life  daughters Tanya (Buddy) Brasher, Paula Morlan, and Beverly ( David) Hale. Grandchildren Shawna Brasher-Ritchey( Bill) , Heather Morlan, Monica (Pat) Nolen , Connie Brasher ,Paige Kubik, ( Christopher

Stonner) and Ashley Viar. Great Grand Children , Jami Leigh nolen ,Kelci ( KyleSims) Nolen, Lara Myers( Caleb) Hargarten, Hayden , Brianna and Erin Morlan, Zachary (McKinzie) Brasher, Dominik Kinnison, Aubrie Erlbacher , Emmitt Leggett, Shelby Kubik, Liam Stonner and Elaina Viar. great Great Grandchildren

Sophie Daily, Caine Nelson, Salem and Graceland "GG" Humphries, and Nolen Koi Sims and Sister-in-law Margaret Dacus , many nieces nephews other family and friends.
