In Loving Memory of Cherish Rene Simmons

Cherish Rene Simmons, 51, of Scott City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Scott City. She was born on February 5, 1975, in Hayti, Missouri, to the late Marjorie Wilkins Ramsey and Danny Ramsey.

Cherish was a woman with a warm heart and a love for life's simple joys. She found happiness in sharing conversations, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed relaxing at home and watching her favorite television shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie Wilkins Ramsey and Danny Ramsey; her brother, Gary Davidson; and her sister, Dana Wigfall.

Cherish is survived by her children: Nicholas Simmons of St. Louis, Missouri; Luke (Priscilla) Simmons of Portageville, Missouri; and Mary Beth Simmons of Scott City, Missouri. She also leaves behind her brother, Kenny Davidson of Bloomfield, Missouri; her sisters, Dena Campbell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Dannette Riddle of Portageville, Missouri, and Faith Pearson of Lee's Summit, Missouri; as well as four beloved grandchildren and her life partner Keven Brown who brought her endless joy.

Cherish's life will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the love she poured into her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory.
