Charles "Gene" Daugherty was born April 2, 1929 in Granite City Il. to Charles Hughey & Goldie Bell Sanders Daugherty. He passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at the Heritage Gardens in Portageville, Mo at the age of 80 years 10 months and 13 days. He was united in marriage June 23, 1960 in Blytheville, AR to Berna Fondren Daugherty who survives of the home. Preceding him in death, were his parents, Goldie B. (Sanders) Daugherty & Charles H. Daugherty. He was one of the Original Partners of Delta Auto Parts & Sales , that was Established in the Early 50's he served as the buyer until time of his retirement in early 2000, app. 60 years.
