Carolyn Sawyer was born February 11, 1949 in Beach Grove, AR to Charles and Nellie (Jones) Haven. She died May 17, 2014 in Gideon, MO at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 6 days. She was united in marriage to Gary "Jack" Wayne Sawyer on March 12, 1965 in Sparta, IL. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1997. Also preceding her in death, were her parents, Charles and Nellie (Jones) Haven, two brothers, Tom and Joe Haven and one sister, Cathy Haven. She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Billy DeWayne Sawyer and his wife Uylonda of Hayti, MO; two daughters, Carla Mitchem of Wardell, MO and Tammy DePriest and husband Mark of Gideon, MO; five sisters: Donna White of Jackson, MO, Debbie Miller of Wardell, MO, Patricia DeRousse of Dyersburg, TN, Shelby Haven of Wardell, MO and Anita Lytle of Pascola, MO; a special friend Bobby Blurton of Wardell, MO; seven grandchildren: David DePriest, Nikki DePriest, Billy Sawyer Jr., Candice Sawyer, Jackie Sawyer, Chassidy Michem and Larry Mitchem, seven great-grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
