Carolyn Lee Brigley was born July 5, 1947 in Portageville, MO to Pete and Maggie (Freeman) Mitchem. She died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid, MO at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 14 days. Preceding her in death, were her parents, Maggie (Freeman) Mitchem & Pete Mitchem a brother, James Mitchem and a sister, Christene Mitchem Woodall. She worked for New Madrid School as a bus driver. She leaves to cherish her memories, a special companion, John Gaskins of Lilbourn, MO, two sons, James Brigley of Malden, MO and Curtis Gaskins of Howardville, MO, one daughter, Carolyn Shepard of Fulton, KY, two brothers, Scott Mitchem of Malden, MO & Douglas Mitchem of Marston, MO, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of many other relatives and friends.
