Carl William Rogers Sr. Was born Sept. 28, 1927 in Arkansas to Bertha LuLu (Smith) Rogers and Ransom Rufus Rogers. He died Monday April 1, 2013 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 4 days. He was united in marriage to Margie Sullivan in Portageville, MO, Nov. 30, 1951, she survives of the home. Preceding him in death, were his parents, Bertha LuLu (Smith) Rogers & Ransom Rufus Rogers & one sister, Ruby Wise. He was a lifetime mechanic, loved working on his trucks & lawnmowers, farming, traveling, camping and spending time with his family. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Margie Rogers of Tallapoosa, MO, one son; Carl William (Rhonda) Rogers Jr. of Tallapoosa, MO,daughters; Bertha (Jerry) Weaver of Tallapoosa, MO, Corliss (Larry) Wills of Quapaw, OK, Mary Sue (Roger) Smelser of Lilbourn, MO, Judy (Sammy) Landers of Gideon, MO, Teresa Rogers of Gainsville , FL sister, Georgia McCormick of Hayti, MO, 14 Grandchildren; Allisa Rogers, Julian Keene, Rosemary Keene, Jerry Weaver Jr., Mathew Weaver, Lloyd Conner, Ruby Plotnikov, Jeremy Wills, Sarah Hinkle, Richard Weaver, Randy Barton, Samatha Landers, Andreya Whitenack & Johnathan Whitenack. 16 great-grandchildren , his honorary daughter, Linda Mims Lewis of Virginia and a host many other relatives and friends.
