Bruce Wade Sweatt

Bruce Wade Sweatt, 64, of Portageville, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026, at his home in Portageville.

Bruce was born September 28, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Freddie Lee Sweatt and Mary Dial Sweatt.

On August 11, he married the love of his life, Linda Sweatt, in Portageville, Missouri. Bruce enjoyed spending time camping, gathering with family, and cooking around the grill. He will be remembered for his love of family, his kind heart, and the many memories he created with those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Dial Sweatt and Freddie Lee Sweatt; his daughter, Jessica Sweatt; his brothers, Mark Sweatt, Danny Sweatt, and Phillip Sweatt; and his sisters, Susie Barnett, Shelia Sweatt, and Shelly Mathis.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sweatt of Portageville, Missouri; his daughters, Shawna Sweatt (Billy) of Clarkton, Missouri, Brittany Sweatt of Clarkton, Missouri, Kayla Tillman of Portageville, Missouri, and Amber Estes of Portageville, Missouri.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Katelyn Riley, Billy Riley Jr, Raegan Riley, Izaya Gorman, Kamiah Gorman, Amauri Gorman, Arissa Vincent, Elijah Vincent, Azaevia Davis, A'Kaylee Davis, A'Maris Davis, Avery Trosper, and Emberlee Estes; and his great-grandchildren, Jasiah Pollard and Dawson Lancaster and a host of many other nieces. nephews, cousins & family & Frends .

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Portageville Cemetery.

Bruce's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
