Brent Lee Palmer

Brent Lee Palmer, 87, of Portageville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, in Portageville. Born in Sturgis, Michigan, on March 11, 1939, Brent was the youngest of nine children to Florence Davis Palmer and Arthur Palmer.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Brent lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a willingness to help others in need. He enjoyed playing golf, various card games, and was a skilled blackjack player. His love for carpentry and tackling odd jobs around the house reflected his hands-on spirit and creativity.

Brent was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Deloy Palmer, Victor Palmer, Lola Jackson, Olen Palmer, Dena Krontz, Nila Jackson, Ream Palmer, and Cloid Palmer; his longtime partner Hazel Laws; his son Shane Gray Palmer; and grandson Christopher Lee Palmer.

He is survived by his son Bren (Lisa) Palmer; granddaughters Peggy (Joe) Miriani and Shayna (Justin) Mueller; and great-grandchildren Braxton Miriani, Mila Miriani, Sienna Mueller, and Luca Mueller.

Visitation & Services

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Charles Memorial Park. Funeral services will follow at the same location, with interment at St. Charles Memorial Park Cemetery.

Brent’s warmth, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
