Was born December 8, 1926 in Campbell, Mo to George Ray and Daisy Parrent. He died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at New Madrid Living Center at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 8 days.
Mr. Ray was united in marriage on April 18, 1969 in St. Louis Mo to Beverly Aggans, she survives of the home.
Preceding him in death was his parents Daisy Parrent and George Ray, Two brothers Carl Wayne Ray and Charles Ray and Step mother Ada Ray. He organized the Public Water District # 5, PWSD#5 and worked there and for many years along with working at the Richardson Gin Company until retirement.
He leaves to cherish his sweet memories his wife Beverly Ray of Portageville, Mo, daughter Janice Ray Benson of New Madrid, Mo,grandsons, John Robert Benson and Darrel Benson of New Madrid, Mo granddaughter, Gwendolyn Benson of New Madrid, Mo,daughter, Crystal Williams and her husband Allen of Jackson Mo, granddaughters, Abigail Williams and Emma Williams of Jackson, Mo, daughter, Charla Ray Matich and her husband Nick Carefree of Arizona, grandson , Nicholas Matich, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, daughter, Norma Ray Balagna of Lansing, Michigan, grandchildren, Thomas Balagna, Keego Harbor, Michigan and Lisa Balagna, of Ferndale, Michigan And Diane Balagna of Waterford, Michigan, daughter, Patricia Ray Coleman of Carefree Arizona and grandson Cyle Coleman and his wife Staci, great-granddaughter, Calliope Grace of Mesa, Arizona, Son, Robert Ray of Davison, Michigan, granddaughter, Kellie Goines and her husband Carl, great –grandchildren, Paris, Dominic and Charlotte of Detroit, Michigan, granddaughter, Kris Shires-Ray and Partner, Deidre Shires-Ray, great grandchildren, Augustus and Gabriel of Royal Oak, Michigan, grandchildren, Toni and Andrew Ray Seattle, Washington, sister, Norma Lou Richardson and her husband, Barry Richardson of Portageville, Mo and a host of many other relatives and friends.
