Billie Sue Whitley

Was born July 15, 1934 in McNair County, TN to the late Emma (Smith) and W.M. Durbin. She passed away on October 15, 2025 at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid, MO at the age of 91 years and 3 months.

She was united in marriage to Wilburn Wayne Whitley in September 1953, he preceded her in death January 18, 1994.

She loved cooking, fishing and spending time with her grandkids, she also loved her job as a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Michael Whitley, and her grandson, Nick. Four sisters, Jewell Sweat, Bessie Whitley, Ruth Durbin and Becky Goodman.  Four brothers, Frank, Montey, Ricky and Thomas Durbin and a dear friend, Esther West.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Theresa Whitley of Sikeston, MO, her brother, Perry Durbin of Adamsville, Tennessee, ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
