Obituary

Billie Jean Durbin age 89 of Portageville, MO passed away on April 10, 2020 at the Lutheran Home with a daughter and two granddaughters at her side.  She was born April 19, 1930 to Anna (Leist) Garrison and Maxie Bendel (stepfather-Vernon Garrison ). Billie was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church in Portageville, MO.

On October 2, 1950 Billie and Paul were married at St. Joseph church in Scott City, MO.  He was the love of her life and they were married for  54 years.   He preceded her in death.

Billie was a very kind, strong, generous, gentle, and faith filled woman.  She was Granny to everyone, always making you feel comfortable and accepted. She never spoke an unkind word and lived her faith daily through guiding and serving others.  She was truly a blessing to all those  who knew her.

Loving survivors include three daughters, Patricia  (Eddie) Laws of Scott City, MO, Linda (Ben) Gaines of Danville, KY,  Rebecca (Gary) Call of Portageville, MO,  two sons, Michael (Donna) Durbin  and  John (Mary) Durbin all of Portageville, MO; 23 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Randol of Scott City, MO, Clara White of Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister (Mary Whelan), two son-in-laws  (Eddie Laws and Alan Burns) one granddaughter (Beth Durbin).

Services  will be at DeLisle funeral home in Portageville, MO.
