W illiam D. Bruner was born July 4, 1937, to Rev. Glen and Edna Bruner.  He died Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the age of 78.

H e was united in marriage to Mary Grace Clark on February 4,1982.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Eldwin Bruner.

H e leaves his wife, Mary Bruner of Leland, Mississippi, son, Scott Bruner (Nancy), grandson Brandon Bruner all of Portageville. He also leaves his step-son, Ricky Clark (Linda) of Leland, MS., step-daughter, Cheryl Clark Brown (Steve) of Gainesville, GA., step-grandchildren, Ray Clark (Emily) of Memphis,Tenn., Angela Jefcoat (Judd) of Cleveland, MS., Neel Brown (Jame) of Arlington, VA., Meredith Tye (John) of Charlotte, NC. and seven great grandchildren.  He leaves a sister, Nell Barling (Aaron) of Fort Smith, AR. and a brother, Mike Bruner (Lynn) of Jonesboro, AR. and several nephews and great nieces and nephews.

B ill owned and operated Bruner Fuels in Portageville, Mo. until his retirement due to his health. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Portageville, where he served on numerous boards and committees.

V isitation will be at First Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 27, at 10:00 and funeral following at 11:00 at First Methodist Church.
