S he was born on February 9, 1933 in Marston, Missouri to the late Raymond Nelson and Alice Hodges. She passed away on August 4, 2022 at New Madrid, Missouri at the age of 89 years 5 months 26 days.

P receding her in death was her parents, Raymond Nelson and Alice Hodges.  Also preceding her in death were four brothers:  Raymond Nelson, Jr., Elmer Nelson, Donald Nelson, and John O. Nelson; five sisters:  Beuton Proffer, Elvine Blankenship, Marie Myers, Mary Chambliss, and Shirley Brown; one son-in-law, Bobby Jimerson and one great great grandchild, Oliver Tindle.

She loved spending time with family and visiting with neighbors.  Some of her hobbies included embroidery, shopping and dancing.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: Mary Catherine (J.C.) Cook of Portageville and Sheila Diane Jimerson of Portageville; one special niece, Emma (Ralph) Condy; 3 grandchildren:  Sharon (Quentin) White, Bobby Lynn Kelley and JoAnna (Dickie) Bond, 7 great grandchildren:  Krista (Dea) White, Starlin Kelley III, Janie Tindle, Garret Kelley, Ethan White, Chance Howard and Tatum Howard and 2 great great grandchildren.
