Betty Jo Kellams Was born July 4, 1930 in Concord, MO to Carl Permenter and Delia Holloman. She died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 14 days. She was united in marriage January 10, 1946 to Harold Gene Kellams. He preceded her in death April 9, 1988. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Delia (Holloman) and Carl Permenter, and two sisters Janelle Permenter and Shirley Black one grandson, Klay Kellams and one Son-In-Law Charles Lawson. She was of Baptist Faith and attended the First Baptist Church in Portageville, MO. She enjoyed many countless hours working outside in her garden and talking politics with her family. Betty Jo Kellams leaves to cherish memories: her son, Sibert Wayne "Moe" Kellams of Memphis, TN; her daughters: Carolyn Lawson of Sikeston, MO; Jo (Richard) Stegall of Portageville, MO and Jacqueline (Dennis) Graham of Blytheville, AR; one sister, Martha Berry of St. Peter, MO; 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
