Betty Jo Butler

Betty Jo Butler was born on March 26, 1932, in Hayward MO. to the late Margaret Elizabeth Davidson House & William Robert House. She passed away on Monday August 19, 2024, at Gideon Care Center, Gideon MO, at the age of 92 years, 5 months & 13 days.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Margaret Elizabeth Davidson House and William Robert House, also preceding her were her siblings, Mary Weber, Gladys Smith, Margie Todd, Ruby Rooker, Florence Hawkins, Luther House & Raymond House, Thelma Faye House, Steven William House & Robert Eugene House.

She was united in marriage to John Metts Hawkins on February 20, 1954, in Portageville, MO, he preceded her in death, May 02, 1988. She later married Rev. Leland Everett Butler on June 26, 1999, in Portageville, he preceded her in death May 15, 2017. Ms. Betty loved her family and just being with them was her greatest joy. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Portageville, MO.

She leaves to cherish her many memories, her sons: Doug (Donna) Hawkins of Portageville, MO, David (Karen) Hawkins of Portageville, MO, Phil (Becky) Hawkins of Portageville, MO, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
