Bessie Faye Matlock Was born December 17, 1933 in Bethel , TN to Hoy Thacker & Ollie (Evans) Thacker. She died April 10, 2009 at Sikeston, MO at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 24 days. She was united in marriage to Nig Matlock in April 1952 in Tennessee , he preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1985 also preceding her in death was her dad, Hoy Thacker, her sisters, Mary Nell Griswell & Evelyn Ray. She leaves to cherish her memories her mother Ollie (Evans) Thacker of Portageville, her sons, Jerry Matlock of Portageville, MO & Tim Matlock of Jackson, MO. her daughters: Shirley Estes , Carol Williams , Judy Fisher, Sandy Braman all of Portageville, Mo Brothers; Bill Thacker, Ray Thacker, Bob Thacker, Larry Thacker, Mark Thacker all of Portageville, MO and Bud Thacker of St. Clair, MO her sisters: Katie Walls , Peggy Robinson, Brenda Cook all of Portageville & Linda DeRouse of Tenn 16 Grandchildren,, and 21 Great Grandchildren. Services were conducted Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Eugene Poole and Rev. Dewayne Roberts officiating. Pallbearers were; Virgil Estes, Randy Williams, Billy Fisher, Mike Jones, Shawn Cobb, Steve Mays Honorary Pallbearers were; Mark Thacker & Cory Hoxworth. Internment followed ceremony at the Portageville Cemetery.
