Bernard Franklin Hayes

W as born on August 10, 1931 in Tennessee to the late Jessie Lou Johnson Hayes and Acie Franklin Hayes. He passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 in Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 91 years, four months and two days.

P receding him in death was his first wife, Shirley Fincher Hayes and his daughter, Paula Carnell and his parents. Jessie Lou and Acie Hayes and one brother Billy Loften Hayes and two sisters Ione Cook, and Peggy Reed.

H e was united  in marriage to Connie Townsend on April 2, 2008 she survives of the home. He loved spending time outside and visiting friends and family. He was of the Baptist Faith and a veteran of the Army.

H e leaves to cherish his memories; his wife Connie Hayes of Marston, Mo, 2 Sons. Ricky (Jo Ann) Hayes of Marston, Mo, Michael Hayes of Greenville, Mo and one daughter. Karen Babb of Marston, Mo. One Brother, Johnny Hayes of Springfield, Ill. Two Sisters; Edna Reno of Caruthersville, Mo and Jackie Hayes of Sikeston, Mo. Nine Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild
