Barbara P. Tipton

Was born August 29, 1939 in Glenn Allen, MO to Tremmells Augustus Peters and Bernadine (Woods) Peters. She passed away  Monday; Jan. 16, 2017 at St Francis Medical Center in  Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 18 days.

Preceding her in death were her parents; Bernadine (Woods) Peters & Tremmells Augustus Peters, husband Dewitt Tipton, Nephew, David Crumley, Niece, Sheila Tipton.

She was of Methodist Faith, she enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and gardening. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State College in 1980 with a degree in Computer Science, she also attended Arkansas State University. She was one of the first pioneer women to work on computer main frames.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Robert "Bob" Sutton of Portageville, MO, Daughters, Jennifer Tipton & husband, Steve Franklin of Austin, TX,  Melanie Tipton of Farmington, MO, step-daughters; Jana Goldschmidt of Portageville, MO, Stacy Kanan of Geneva, IL, her sister: Carolyn Bremenmann and husband B.H. of Poplar Bluff, MO, Niece ; Angela Robbins of Houston TX, Nephew: Ron Tipton of Houston, TX, 3 step-grandchildren; Alexandra Goldschmidt, Malik & Mazen Kanan and

a host of many other relatives and friends
