Audra Hampton Foster Mrs. Foster was born in Stuttgart, AR to Clarence B. & Nellie M. Newbold. She attended school in Stuttgart. Mrs. Foster married George W. Hampton of Malden, MO., in 1942. He was a commercial and residential building contractor. He passed away in 1970. In 1976, she married J. Claude Foster of Portageville, MO. He was a retired grocer and passed away in 1997. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Clarence Newbold and a nephew, Donald Newbold. Mrs. Foster was well known in Malden, MO. She owned and operated Audra's Dress Shop there for 15 years. In Portageville, she was an active member of First Baptist Church since 1976, was past president of the Portageville Garden Club for two years then secretary for 11 years. Surviving is one brother, Clifford Newbold and his wife Boots of Santa Maria, CA, one half-brother, Johnny Johnson of Florissant, MO, her niece, Donna Jo Spitzer of Louisville, KY, Steve Spitzer and their daughter, Danielle of Troy, OH, her sister-in-law, Thelma Wilmer also of Troy and a host of many other relatives and friends.
