Aubrey Carter Was Born Feb. 2, 1925 in Corinth, MS to Virginia & James Carter, he passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid, MO at the age of 87 years and 20 days. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Frazier on October 2, 1966 in Portageville, MO, she survives of the home. Preceding him in death, were his parents, Virginia & James Carter, his sisters & brothers-in-laws ; Pearl (Lloyd) Thomason, Earlene (Cecil) Bolen and one niece, Bessie Prince. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Portageville, he was employed by McCrate Equipment for several years and then owned & operated Carter Transformer Service until retirement. He was a Army Veteran of WWII & he served in the European Theater, he received many medals of honor. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Dorothy Carter of Portageville, MO his daughters, Diana (Eugene) Berry of Summerville, MO, Sherry Spurlin of Collierville, TN, Mary (Mike) Rone of Portageville, MO, Brothers; James Carter Jr. of Mins, FL, Jack Carter of Bloomsdale, MO, & One step- brother, Billy Gibson of Colorado. 8 grandchildren; Michael (Jenny) Binkley, Brian Binkley, Amy (Roger) Winters, Christopher (Sherry) Berry, Sarah Berry, Hope (Adam)Schmeeckle, Brittany (Derek) Hayes, Micah (Dawn) Rone, 14 Great-Grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
