Anna Jane Crockett

Anna Jane Crockett, 84 of New Madrid, MO, passed away on March, 28, 2025. She was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Madrid, MO.

Anna Jane was born on October 11, 1940 to the late Stowell and Luella Hobbs in Cape Girardeau, MO. She graduated from St. Joesph School of Nursing in Memphis, TN, and enjoyed over 60 years of practice.

In November of 1965 she married Dennis Crockett in New Orleans, LA. Dennis and Anna Jane had 4 children, Maria Allen of New Madrid, MO, Cathy (Kenny) Underhill, Lindy Smiley of Cadiz, KY, and Denny Crockett. One bonus daughter, and thought to be the favorite, Diedra Ashley of New Madrid, MO.

Anna Jane also had 6 grandchildren, Callie Pikey, Courtney Carter, Adam Farrenburg, Logan Farrenburg, Jack Smiley, Clara Stroud and 15 beautiful great grandchildren.

She loved spending time with her family and relaxing in the sun watching the grandchildren play.

She was preceded in death by her parents Stowell and Luella Hobbs, her husband Dennis Crockett, son Denny Crockett, and siblings George Hobbs, Linda Thurman, and Daisy Hobbs.
