Anna Margaret Brands Was born March 22, 1917, in Glennon, MO to Henry Arnzen and Alida DeBrock Arnzen. She died Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Sikeston, MO at the age of 96 years, 9 months and 4 days. She was united in marriage to Frank H. Brands on Oct. 7, 1936, in Glennon, MO. He preceded her in death, February 14, 2006. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Alida DeBrock Arnzen & Henry Arnzen, two sons, Joseph Frank Brands in 1938, and Joseph Jerome Brands in 1984; six brothers John, Henry, Bill, Ernest, Robbie & Fred Arnzen and one sister, Mary Beussink. Mrs. Anna was a member of St Eustachius Catholic Church where she served in Ladies of Sodality. Anna worked alongside her husband in the fields but especially enjoyed gardening her flowers. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & Terry McCrate of Portageville, MO, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, Tammy & Dennis Bass of Fort Mill, SC, their children, Julia, Robert & Alida Bass, Joseph J. Brands of Carrollton, KY, his children, Nathan, Aaron, Alana & Maura Brands, his fiancée Sandy & her son Christain, JoAnn McCrate of Cape Girardeau, MO, Lisa & Jim Campbell of Dixon, MO their child, Amanda Campbell, Terry McCrate of Mattoon, IL his children, Bryant, Ashton Kay & Terrence McCrate, Parrish McCrate of Portageville his children, Tara & Addison McCrate. Also to cherish her memory are special caregivers, Wand York, Sue Morgan, Dana Wood and Lovie Holmes and a host of many other relatives and friends.
