Ann Naomi "Nanny" Simpson

Went to her heavenly home on Friday February 12, 2021 surrounded by her family at her earthly home in Lilbourn, Mo  at the age of 94 years five months and twenty-one days.  She was  born on Sunday August 22, 1926 at  Higgerson Landing in New Madrid, Mo  to the late  Mattie Alice Cobbs Porter & William Addison Porter.

On November 25, 1944 she married the love of her life Loyne Dalton Simpson in New Madrid, MO and to this union nine children were born; Larry, Bob, Dalton, Marcy, Sandy, Bruce, Brad, Jerry and Joyce. She was preceded in death by her parents,

Mattie Alice Porter & William Addison Porter, her daughter Joyce Patterson in 1998 and son Jerry Simpson in 2019 and seven brothers and one sister. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to sew and make quilts for her family and friends. After raising her nine children she spent many years babysitting in her home for numerous families in the local community and all were very special to her

S he leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of seventy-six years Loyne Dalton Sons-daughter-in-law's;  Larry & (Mary Lou) Simpson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Pam Simpson of Parsons, Tn, Bob Simpson of New Madrid, Mo, Dalton & (Terri) Simpson of Portageville, Mo, Bruce Simpson of Sikeston, Mo and Brad Simpson of Farmington, Mo.

Daughters & Sons – in- law, Marcy Faulkner  and Sam of LaForge,  MO and Sandy & Kenny Thompson of Malden, Mo.  She was "Nanny" to 23 grandchildren and 54 Great grandchildren  and one great great grandson.. Her extended family her caregiver Minerva Walker who nick-named her "Sunshine" and a host of many other relatives and friends
