Alma Jean Cook of Las Vegas passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 12, 2013. She was born December 23, 1923 as the last of eleven children to Henry and Jesse Burgess at home in Hayward, Missouri. Alma Jean had a career in real estate as well as the restaurant business. She was preceded in death by her husband John, son John A., Parents Henry and Jesse, her brothers and sisters and one grandchild Michelle. Alma Jean is survived by a son Danny, two Daughters-in-Laws Pat and Sue Ann, five Grandchildren and sixteen Great Grandchildren. Her smile and wit will be missed. Alma Jean will be inurned with all of her family in Portageville Missouri. The family asks that any donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
